What I do
My strength isn't a single specialism — it's range. I've shipped across four disciplines and move to wherever the problem lives.
Production React/TypeScript apps from scratch — design systems, data viz and end-to-end tests included.
APIs and critical services that keep live trading running — built and maintained under real load.
Bare-metal → Kubernetes migrations, the 12-factor way. CKAD-certified and comfortable owning the pipeline.
Helped build and maintain a data platform researchers rely on — storing, versioning and serving large datasets for analysis.
The origin
It started with a 386. My dad brought one home running DOS, and I learned just enough commands to go spelunking through the filesystem — asking him a thousand questions about what lived in each folder and why. Prince of Persia probably ate more hours than it should have.
My dad taught me the basics of C, too — and from there I was on my own. With no internet and no books to crib from, I spent whole afternoons failing my way through a Pac-Man clone and a homemade screen saver: not enough to get the game loop right, but more than enough stubbornness to keep trying. That loop of fail-and-retry is still how I learn anything.
At university I set out to become a "proper engineer" and chose electrical engineering — but the pull toward code never let go. I became a teaching assistant for the C++ modules (yes, we wrote code by hand, on paper, in the final exams) and fell hard for the low-level stuff: PIC and Atmel microcontrollers, and the strange satisfaction of writing assembly.
That hardware instinct never switched off. A drawer of Arduino kits waits for a weekend that work and life keep postponing — but a couple of Raspberry Pis quietly automate the small annoyances out of my days, because making life a little easier is its own reward.
Same curiosity as the kid at the DOS prompt; just better tooling.
Professional journey
A non-linear path is the point. From a childhood DOS prompt to power electronics, frontline team leadership, then a decade in software — each layer compounding into a broader problem-solver.

Let's talk
I'm always up for interesting work — frontend, backend, infra, data, or the messy bit in between. Open to interesting problems.
